The Moulton Rohloff is a truly unique bicycle bringing together the fabulously silky smooth performance of the Moulton frame, with the wonderfully simple yet sophisticated Rohloff 14 speed hub gear

Evolved from the continued collaboration between Alex Moulton Bicycles in Bradford on Avon and Avon Valley Cyclery in Bath (AVC, the home of foldingbikes.co.uk), the Moulton New Series Rohloff represents a new alternative to the more familiar double chain set, drop bar 'RG' style custom Moultons which we have produced over the past few years.
The frame uses special custom made stainless steel horizontal dropouts which allow the wheel to be easily removed and adjusted without the need to resort to a Rohloff chain tensioner. The result is a transmission that has all the inherent simplicity and beautifully uncluttered appearance of a single speed, with all the versatility of a conventional touring or racing set up.
All tastes are catered for with a straight or drop bar option available, with frame options to suit preference and budget ranging from the New Series Kaisei (similar to Reynolds 531) ranging through to the all stainless steel construction Mouton Speed 'Pylon'

For those on a more modest budget, as soon as the Pashley Moulton TSR bikes become available we will be producing our own AVC Rohloff spec model using the Rohloff chain tensioner as an alternative to a Rohloff specific dropout.
