For those who don't know, Mezzo means 'half' in Italian, and those that did know will also tell you that it is prounounced 'Metzo', as in 'Pizza.
The relevance in it's name is of course that this bike folds down to roughly half it's unfolded size.
The Mezzo I-4 features a reliable 4 speed internal hub gear, well suited to those that appretiate the low maintainance 'fit and forget' nature of a hub geared bicycle. An optional pannier bag is available primarily marketed towards commuters but equally suited to the recreational rider. Other comnponents throughout the bike are the same as the D-9.

The Mezzo D-9 features a 9 speed derailleir system which offers more of a performance feel over a hub gear. The actual range of gears is very similar to that of the I-4, but the additional 'in between' gears can make for a more comfortable ride as you can fine tune how fast you pedal at any given speed.
The light weight aluminium frame (shared by the I-4) is extreamly stiff meaning there is no flex while riding, which really highlights the quick responsive feel of this bike overall.
