The Helios SL stands for super light, and it is at a staggering 7.6kilos, that’s only 16.72lbs. This makes the Dahon Helios SL, not unsurprisingly the lightest production folding bicycle available on the market today.
Don’t be fooled into thinking that this bike is just for decoration, for 2005 Dahon nave stiffened the frame and steering assembly giving in boost in torsional rigidity of over 35%! In English, this means that more of your energy is getting transferred straight to the bike wheel making you go forwards……faster!
Dahon have dressed their top of the range frame in a choice of top end componentry from the likes of Sram, Truvativ and the truly wonderful Rolf wheels to complete a folding package that is just begging to be ridden fast, but equally could be the perfect bike for those that find the heavier weight of some bikes hard to manage.
