Dahon Glide P8
The Glide looks and rides like a conventional classically elegant city bike.
Not every body wants a folding bike with small wheels, some feel that they don't like to be seen on a small wheel bike, some feel that they prefer the ride characteristic that a conventional wheeled bike can offer. The Glide offers you the best of both worlds, a bike that looks and rides like a conventional bike yet folds down to such a size that the foot print of this bike folded is not much larger then one of the 20" wheeled Dahon models.
A Shimano 8 spd Nexus hub gear serves to provide a neat solution to the transmission, keeping the working parts inside to reduce wear and maintenance requirements, and a large chain guard keeps your clothing safely away from the oily chain for ease of use. Other practical features on this bike include mudguards and rear rack suitable for panniers, as well as a prop stand and a suspension seat pin for a super plush ride.
We think the Glide P8 will be very popular, it encompasses the requirements that many people want from a folding bike; that namely being a bicycle that can used in comfort and confidence in the same way as you would use your conventional bike, but has the ability to fold when it need is required to.
