A great way to extend the carrying capacity of your Birdy. Unlike low riders on standard forks, the Birdy front suspension fork design means that the low rider does not have to much of an adverse effect on the steering, unlike many conventional forks!

This is the rack intended for all new Birdy Bicycles since 2002.
Full size panniers can be used on the rear, although you need to fit the Birdy mudguards to provide side support for the bags themselves.
When folded the rack cleverly articulates down behind the bike so not to increase the folded size, and support wheels aid the bike to remain upright when placed down in its folded state.
Unfortunately the Expedition rack is not retrofittable to bikes pre 2002.

Prior to 2002 this was the standard Birdy rack, it will not fit bikes produced since this date. Lightweight aluminium, with an elastic adjustable cargo strap to keep your load secure.
Due to it's low position, this rack is not suitable for use with side panniers, but can accommodate rack top bags no problem.

The only option to the SL Carrier' on their pre 2002 Birdy bicycle.
As it's name suggests, this rack is suspended from the seat post quick release, while a cable mounted from under the saddle keeps the rack supported upright.
These racks are no longer produced, but we still have a few new slightly shop soiled examples that are in perfect working order.
