Quite simply the Tikit is a fantastic folding bicycle. It's intuitive fold can be accomplished in 5 seconds flat, and unlike many other folding bikes is not slowed down by individual fiddly clamps and catches.
The fold is incredibly easy, simply fold the seat mast forward so that it lays flat across the bike then swing the rear section of the bike underneath, this in turn automatically releases the stem so that it can be folded down to the side of the bike out of the way. When folded the bike locks together so it can be picked up or rolled with ease. It's so easy that once you are familiar with the fold you can execute it almost as a single motion, which will wow those spectators as if the have witnessed some form of bicycle voodoo!
The Tikit folds into a 36x58x84 cm (15"x24"x35") space which is a very comfortable size for taking onto public transport or fitting into the boot of a vehicle. At less then 25 lbs it's no dead weight either, and if you do need to cover any distance with the bike in it's folded state you can wheel the bike along whilst folded courtesy of the soft grip handle with your other hand left free. Alternatively you have the option of using either the integral carry handle to pick up the bike and carry it like a suitcase.
An 8 speed derailleur transmission provides ample gearing for whizzing around the city, and is enough to take in a few hills too. In fact, to pigeon hole this bike into just a city commute tool would be unfair as he quality of ride, compact size and ease of use would make it equally as suitable for someone looking for a bike with more recreational pursuits in mind as well.
Three sizes are available, all with the facility to alter stem lengths using conventional bicycle stems allowing a further degree of adjustability to ensure a perfect fit.
The standard colour option for the bike is Soda Blue with Matt Black extremities, although there are colour options available on the main frame colour (the blue section) at request. Mudguards are included, and rack options front and rear are available.
