Airnimal Chameleon Performance Sport
The Airnimal Performance Sport is fantastic value for money, the Shimano 105 group set incorporates many of the top end features of Ultegra and Dura Ace at a price that makes that hard to beat.
The bike comes with a double chain set as standard, which combined with the the 10 speed cassette provides 20 gears in total, and if a greater range is necessary then a triple chain set option is available if preferred.
Select from a number of options defining your bike, as well as picking your preferences from the wide range of optional extras that are available.
Frame Options
There are a number of colour options available for the Chameleon frame, as well as two size options available which are determined by the forward reach to fit riders between 5' (152cm) and 6'4" (193cm). The point at which we would recommend that you take the larger frame would be for those riders of approximately 5' 8".
If you are in any doubt about which size would be most suitable, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Wheel Options
Your new Airnimal will come with a great quality set of wheels. Shimano hubs are laced with a conventional 32 spoke construction onto a pair of light weight alloy rims which is a package is suitable for anything, and are definitely the best option if you plan to take your Chameleon touring.
For those that are looking for high performance, the Uriel wheel set produced by Velocity provides a great alternative. Deep V section aero rims and a low spoke count means that these wheels feel as fast as they look.

Tyre Options
The Kenda Koncept tyre comes as standard, which offers good performance on road with its slick, easy rolling tread. If this suits your purpose but you would prefer a tyre of a higher quality then the Panaracer Technova is a fast high pressure slick. If you plan to use the bike on towpaths then the Panaracer Pasela is a favourite amongst tourists for it's robust puncture resistant qualities, while for more dedicated off road use, or if you just want something as robust as possible then the rather funky named Specialized Spanky provides a bomb proof option with a knobblie tread pattern.
Carrier Rack Options
The Airnimal Chameleon makes a very capable touring bike if so desired. Front and rear racks can be fitted, although they do affect the ease of folding and the final folded size.If you plan to be taking them on and off then consider the Tubus rear rack with the quick release option and the Carradice Limpet for the front which comes complete with rack and custom fitting bag. For occasional use just to pop on when you need it then the alloy carrier offers a low cost option, or select the Universal fitting kit to custom fit your choice of after market rack.

Carry Bag Options
If you plan to travel with the bike then you'll need something to transport the bike in.
The first fold bag is great for every day convenience, and will accept the bike after it's basic fold as it's name would suggest. The soft carry bag is the most compact soft bag, containing the folded bike with both wheels removed, which does of course mean that you need a wheel bag as well but this can be easier if you want to pack the bike into the back of the car for example.
If you plan to fly with the bike then a hard case is a must. The turtle case is very compact although it's fair to say that the bike only just fits so it's not the easiest of packing operations, particularly with drop bar models, but if you want to fly then this is the case for you.

Security Options
Although you should be able to take your Airnimal with you where ever you go, it does hurt to have a lock handy just in case. A coil lock offers light weight and convenience, while a D-lock offers a greater degree of security. Please note that due to the Birdy's unique frame, it is not possible to attach the lock onto the bike for storage when not in use.
